New release of the advanced mechanical engineering application works in the environment of AutoCAD® 2007, AutoCAD® LT 2007 and Autodesk Inventor 11. It supports also previous releases of all three platforms and brings many extensions to highly acclaimed functionality of GeniusMechaniCS 2006 , following the wishes and suggestions of customers.
Following the unified fundamental architecture of whole family the functionality extensions in GeniusMechaniCS 2007 for AutoCAD LT include:
- Extended "Power array" set of commands, which makes possible to fill selected space with array of holes or other shapes according to given rules and generation of arrays along contours;
- Rivets wizard, generating riveted fastening assemblies;
- Pipeline generation with extended set of standard fittings;
- Extended customisation possibilities of intelligent objects through adding individual "fields" to any object property, allowing object referencing in all functions;
- Universal, programmable markers for inserting of any tags or comments in the drawing space with comfortable user interface;
- Customisation wizard for procedures of standard parts insertions.

Library manager (LM), allowing usage, creation and management of manufacturer, customer and standard parts and assemblies:

Standard parts and the relevant standard part features such as holes, threads, countersinks,… are frequently used design elements in technical drawings. A common technology database contains intelligently linked parts.
A change made to any part automatically entails appropriate changes in all the other linked parts in accordance with their values in the database.
Such design technology is a powerful versatile tool, that accelerates your design creation and improves product quality.
For example:
during inserting nut or the bolt it autodetermines its size and autoconstraints. If bolt after constraints must be longer to provide right assembly condition it automatically lengthens to the next standard length size.
If engineer changes diameter of any parts in the assembly - all other linked parts will change automatically.
The same procedure applies for parts (bearings, gears, covers, seals and others) placed on shaft or hydraulics and pneumatics parts connected with pipe.
Power Part
all the parts has special conditions for placement and relationship between others.
Power Edit
using standard Windows double-click technology or Power Edit command simply change representation, modify size and parameters of part.
Power Group edit
using this tool you can simply change placement conditions, replace parts, edit sizes, parameters or types of part and elements in threaded fastenings, shafts and bearings, or piping.
Power Copy
copy GMCS LT part using native AutoCAD tools and change it sizes or parameters.
GeniusMechaniCS LT enables usage of not only standard parts geometry, but also of their mechanical properties. Working in AutoCAD LT you can assign geometry & parametric constrains to assembly components as well as apply predefined layout constrains, and after that transfer assembly to AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor model from AutoCAD LT environment.
Automated, knowledge base driven design of piping and fittings in assemblies
Special module designed for pneumatics and hydraulics elements of project can add some new in your design process. Simply place holes and valves, connect them using manual and automatic pipeline creation methods. During placement the system automatically recognizes size and insertion point of parts, autoconnect them to each other and gives you possibility to control all pipeline in project context: you can edit it relative to existing geometry using 'parallel', 'perpendicular' or other options. Using this content and tools you can design 2D layouts and projection views of tubing and piping systems.
